Back to Perth

Took a drive around Bunbury with my cousin's car yesterday to the farmer's market and stopped off at Back Beach.

The high street in Bunbury is awesome. It reminds me of Jeffrey's Bay in South Africa. Loads of surfer brand stores and gorgeous coffee shops.

We have now arrived safely back in Perth. Luckily it is a straight road all the way for 2 hours so not too bad. Now am just relaxing inside where it is cooler. It is 40 degrees Celsius today so sun burn weather! I have plenty of time to tan so just taking it easy! Did I tell you that this apartment has a beautiful view? ;)

Let's go to the beach...

I took a video this morning at around 10am when the beach was empty and peaceful! Just for me!

In Bunbury, Western Australia until Wednesday. The beach is right on my doorstep! Having a fabulous time rejuvenating whilst in the great company of my Aunt, Uncle and 2 cute sausage dogs!

It is a well-known tradition to eat these gorgeous chocolate biscuits in a particular way when you come to this side of the world. The trick is to bite both ends of it, then use it as a straw to enjoy some chocolate milk! I had it with cold milk, but waaaay better with a hot drink so that it just melts in your mouth!

Jet lag?

Here I thought I was doing well to avoid jet lag, and that i was so tired from the 11hour and 5 hour flight I just had, that I'd just sleep away until the morning... It's 2am in Perth, 2AM! I've slept for 2 hours and feel like I should be up and about! Technically my body thinks its now 6pm and I've had a great afternoon nap. Whoops.

On a happier note, I am safe and sound in my cousins apartment, which has the most beautiful view of the city!

There is a golf course just below us and a Crown Plaza hotel to our left.

The sun sets on the city side, so even a better view at the end of the day!

As I am starting my journey in Australia in 7 days, I thought I would start a blog for all my family & friends. This way, you can keep in the loop with all my travel stories, photos & videos. I will be arriving in Perth, Western Australia on 15th Feb and will spend a couple of weeks with my cousins until I get my feet settled firmly on Aussie soil! There is an opportunity for me to live in Sydney, but will let you know as soon as it is all confirmed.
